In Fall 2014, the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival began filming a documentary that followed the making of the Vancouver production of Le Grand Continental®, a large-scale, live dance performance by Montreal choreographer Sylvain Émard. 75 everyday Vancouverites, aged 6 to 76, with varied levels of dance experience, were recruited and rehearsed for 10 weeks to perform in Le Grand Continental.
In January, the PuSh Festival presented four performances of Le Grand Continental. The free performances attracted more than 2,500 audience members to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza.
On July 14, 2015, the PuSh Festival will host the world premiere of the documentary – Between The Lines – at the very same location.
Join us at the Queen Elizabeth Plaza for this summertime family event! From 8pm onward there will pre-film fun and entertainment.
Screening of Between the Lines begins at sunset (approximately 9:00pm).
Rain or shine. Bring a blanket or lawn chair!
